The SMART SERIAL 6 control panel permits you to alter settings for your SMART SERIAL 6 card in order to: (1) make your configuration more convenient (i.e. by renaming the ports); or (2) adjust parameters which may be important to certain serial devices and applications. The default settings should be left unchanged unless you are certain that a particular serial device or application requires alternative settings. The settings are saved in a file named “INSCC-QP Prefs” which resides in the Preferences Folder of your System Folder. You can restore default values by deleting the “INSCC-QP Prefs” file and restarting your computer.
